Slavs and Tatars is an artistic collective and an intellectual project at the same time. They have been operating since 2006, and their area of interest is primarily Eurasia as a special cultural formation, where various ethnic and religious formations are mixed up, but which also retains the supranational ethos of the "east". The action and projects project Slavs and Tatars takes place between the former Berlin Wall and the Chinese Wall. Subsequent projects accept both the form of publications and extensive installations as well as a series of objects often using traditional production techniques and artistic crafts.
